For many years, Naval Electronics AB has been a recognized design and manufacturing company for ship-bound antennas and CATV-systems. A lot of the experience and know-how gained during this period has gone into the new VPA 30 active receiving antenna. Thorough design of mechanical and electrical parts will give you years of trouble free, top performance, meeting the very special demands put on ship antennas. The antenna is optimized for AM reception from 100 kHz to 30 MHz. The antenna is omnidirectional and senses vertical polarization.
While this antenna is used in many cases as a stand alone AM-SW, FM Radio Antenna, the VPA 30 Antenna is also commonly used in tandem with the MK20CA antenna in cases where greater sensitivity for AM-SW signals is required. The FI-30 AM Naval Filter is used as an extremely low loss diplexer to combine the AM-SW signals with the FM/TV Signals from the MK20CA antenna before they enter the Naval Electronics AB Cassette Banded Distribution Amplifier System.
